Rosewood Baha Mar. Nassau, Bahamas. ...
By Posh Voyage

Nassau is a spot you either love because of the hustle and bustle, or hate because you were longing for some peace and quiet. Frankly I prefer to go to off the beaten path islands when visiting the Caribbean, but if you find that Nassau is on the list, then look no further than the Rosewood Baha Mar.

Baha Mar is like it’s own town; filled with shops, casinos, day clubs, restaurants, hotels and water parks. I personally found it overwhelming and extremely busy, to the point that I wanted to get out and couldn’t find the way out, the exit was a maze to say the least. While exploring the Baha mar property I set foot in the oasis amidst the chaos, The Rosewood and peace finally landed.

From the moment I opened the giant double doors, their signature scent immediately brought my cortisol levels back to normal. The lobby is the quintessential Caribbean decor with a flair of sophistication. The colors are light, the furniture plush and the ambiance delightfully calm which was perfect for the type of vacation I was looking for.

Once I arrived, I made my way to the library for a green juice and some time to decompress while our room was ready. The library serves a Bahamian take on an English high tea, with a collection of glass jars filled with local herbs to brew. Decor includes everything from old atlases to globes to hardcover books and a fantastic art collection, one that will transport you back to Havana pre-revolution with a flare of old Bahamian luxury.

Rosewood has five restaurants and bars, my favorite being Costa featuring Mexican cuisine. Another great spot is the traditional French cuisine at Café Boulud for an upscale dinner, and finally to finish every eve I would head to the Manor Bar for some handcrafted cocktails.

Their hotel might be large with 223 rooms, but it will never feel like anything larger than a boutique hotel during your stay. The Ocean View Studio is one of the most popular suites because of how large its square footage is, was well as how comfortable they are. It does not have a full ocean view, however, it wins for the best room.

When visiting Nassau look no further than the stunning Rosewood Hotel.
